Ragnarok Origin Crusader Guide

Crusader is one of the secondary classes that are available for the Swordsman class.

The crusader class highlights shield skills that can be used to protect and attack. They are also the second class that is capable of using the Holy element. Like the priest class, crusaders can deal more damage to undead element targets and can heal wounded allies.

In this guide, we will check:
- Possible Crusader Builds
- Equipment
- Cards
- Leveling Guides

SKILLS
Aside from the damaging skills that will be highlighted in the build section, Crusaders have the skill "Riding and Cavalry mastery, the same skills available to the Knight class. Crusaders also have support skills that can help assist allies in battle.

For the Grand Cross Mobber - Put points to Grand Cross, Spear Mastery, Heal, and Auto Guard Skills.

For the Shielder Crusader - Put points to Shield Boomerang, Shield of Thorns, Spear Mastery, and Auto Guard Skills.

For the Holy Cross Crusader - Put points to Holy Cross and Spear Mastery. And put points to Auto Guard Skills, in case you will be using a 1-hand spear with a shield.

STATS
1. Grand Cross Mobber - You need both ATK and INT for this build. So you need to add points to both STR and INT. But since the damage is Magic DMG, we need to add more points to INT.

2. Shielder Crusader - For the shielder build, you need to have both STR to increase your ATK and DEX to increase the cast time of skill. The recommended stat should be as follows:

3. Holy Cross Crusader - For the Holy Cross Shielder, you need high ASPD so we need to increase AGI. Then put the rest of the points to STR for Damage, and some DEX to increase our hit rate.

BUILDS
1. Grand Cross Mobber

One of the most famous builds, this Crusader type focuses on the skill Grand Cross to deal tremendous holy damage against undead and dark element monsters. Since Grand Cross damage is reliant on the ATK and MATK of the Crusader, and since GC deals magic damage, this build invests more on the INT stat rather than the STR stat.

A high amount of VIT is also required to be able to survive the mob damage and Grand Cross HP reduction. You also need DEX, ranging from a total of 60 to 90 points is also ideal to reduce Grand Cross casting time. Heal is also maximized in this build and is required in order to heal the damage taken by the Crusader.

2. Shielder Crusader

The Shielder Crusader focuses on the Shield Boomerang and Shield Charge skills. Wielding a shield not only increases the Defense capability of Crusaders but also helps to block incoming physical damage with the auto guard skill.

Using a shield boomerang, the crusader's attack becomes ranged. In addition, you are also capable of hitting multiple mobs using the Bouncing Booster Core.

You can also wield a shield to add more Defense and use the Auto block feature. However, the holy cross damage will be reduced.

Leveling Recommendation

You may want to target large-size monsters if you will be using spears. Or target medium size monsters of you will be using a sword, because of the weapon size penalty.

Here is my leveling spot recommendation.

Recommended Pets

Recommended Sigils
For the imprints, we can embed  Ancient Power, Radiant Guardian, Photon Burst, Floating Protection, The Chosen One, berserk, Courage Blessing, and Weakness Gaze if you are going Holy Cross build.

Playing as a Crusader
Crusaders is a versatile class since they can be anything you want them to be. They can be a heavy physical or magical damager, a support, or a tank. If you can get right the skills, stats, and equipment, you will have Knight, Wizard, and Priest classes, all in the same toon.

- Keep your skills and potions in check as this class consumes SP way too much.
- Stay away from Holy property targets especially if you are using GC and HC.
- Use ranged damage increase cards, if you are going Shield boomerang
- Use shield charge if there's a deployed pneuma

Playing against a Crusader
- Inlay cards that decrease damage from Holy Attribute.
- Don't fight them head-on as it will turn into a noodle fight, better use long-range skills, or choose another target. Another way is to sacrifice your monk and 1 hit them using Guillotine Fist.

Alright, that's it for this guide, I hope this will give you the information you need to progress your crusader.
