Ragnarok Origin Monk Class

Monks are martial artists who use a combination of Holy magic and their fists to combat their enemies.

They invested the time and effort to sharpen their bodies rather than their mind. Rising in power with the mysterious abilities of the spirit and body, they were able to break everything that stood in their way with their strong stamina and powerful rehabilitation techniques.

Job Change Quest

After reaching Base level 40, you can go back to the Acolyte Guild and receive a letter of recommendation for the next class you would like to change into.

When you choose the Monk path, you'll be given a series of quests that you need to complete.

First is the Entrance test to become a Monk by collecting purified rubies from Pirate Skels.

The next quest is to open the Martial Arts veins and complete the practical test.

And lastly the Guillotine Fist Skill test

Congratulations! You are now a Monk.

Recommended Stats:
1. Bruiser Combo Monk - We need to allocate points to 3 Stats. STR for Damage, AGI for ASPD, and dex for hit rate.

2. Occult Impact Monk - Same with the bruiser combo, we need STR for Damage, AGI for skill delay reduction, and a little DEX to hit our target.

3. Guillotine Fist Monk - Since the Guillotine Fist skill has a long cast time, it is important to have the Core. Then we need both STR and INT for the damage.

Recommended Skills:

Acolyte Prerequisite Skills - Allocate skills points to Blessing, Increase Agility, and Angelus. Then put the rest of the points into any skill that you need.

1. Bruiser Combo Monk - For the AA attacker or Bruiser Combo Monk, Max out Raging Trifecta Blow, Raging Quadruple Blow, Summon Spirit Sphere, and Fury. Then choose between Raging Thrust or Guillotine Fist. If you will be using a Knuckle, then max out Iron Palm. Otherwise, add points to Spiritual Cadence and Body Relocation.

- Iron Palm increases our damage if we are using Knuckles. Raging Trifecta gives a chance to do a triple attack and can activate Raging Quadruple blow and finish it off with either Raging Thrust or Guillotine Fist.

Here's a Combo Settings page to manage which combo option would you like to execute after the Raging Trifecta Blow skill proc. You can also set up a custom combo preset if you would like to add a Guillotine fist as the final skill.

2. Occult Impact Monk - For the Occult impact Monk, max out summon Spirit Sphere, Occult Impact, Fury, Spiritual Cadence, flee, and Body Relocation. You can also add Iron palm in case you will be using Knuckle.

3. Guillotine Fist Monk - For the Guillotine Fist Monk, Max out Raging Trifecta Blow, Raging Quadruple Blow, Summon Spirit Sphere, Iron Palm, Fury, and Guillotine Fist. You can skip Iron Palm and add points to other skills that you need in case you would be using Golden Mace. Then allocate the rest of the points to Spiritual Cadence and Body Relocation.

The Monk

1. Once you changed your class to Monk, you will deal more physical damage and mostly for single targets. Since the damage is low early, you need to use a concentration potion to increase your ASPD and knuckle element converters, to deal more damage.

2. You can target small and medium size targets if you are using knuckles. But you can target medium and Large size monsters if you are using Golden Mace.

3. Golden Mace is the best weapon early since the base DMG is high and you can deal more damage to undead and shadow element targets.

4. Guillotine Fist is useful for PVP and PVE instances to execute one of the target enemies and then get out using the "Body relocation" skill.

Pros:
-High Health Digits
-High Defense
-Strong Offensive Buff
-High mobility

Cons:
-Lack of DoT
-Lack of Party Buff
-Lack of Crowd Control
-Lack AoE
-Single target Skill Build

Leveling Spots:

1. Sograt Desert - For Base levels 40 to 50. Target monsters that cluster in groups, like Muka.

2. Pyramid 1F and Sunken Ship - Ideal spot for grinding from Base level 45 to 60.

3. Geffen Underground Level 2 - Ideal spot for grinding from Base level 60 to 65.

That's it for the Monk Class!
