The enchantment system explained in the previous guide was to give a new attribute to equipment.
But can't we change the unique stats of the equipment originally had?
If so, you can do it through mods!
In this guide, we will learn about the Modification System.
Modification
Modification or Equipment remodeling is a feature that will allow you to change some of the stats of your equipment. This means you will get additional stats or the current effect of your equipment will be improved.
The modification system will be unlocked once you reach Base Level 58 in the Global Server or Base Level 80 in other servers.
Modification Window
In the equipment modification window, equipment that can be modified is displayed on the left, and the selected equipment is displayed in the center.
On the right, the current stats of the equipment are displayed, and the total materials consumed for remodeling can be checked at the bottom.
Modifications consume equipment shards and copper coins every time you modify your equipment. The required equipment shards level will depend on the equipment you try to modify.

You can check the maximum number of attributes that can be obtained through mods by clicking the top option button.
You can proceed with the renovation by pressing the [Modify] button.
For the weapon, additional modification options will be added.
For secondary weapons, armor, garment, and shoes, the stats will be improved.
Whenever you remodel your equipment, the modification progress bar will be filled. And there's a chance to completely fill the bar and unlock the advanced modification.
Advanced modifications have higher-value options than the normal mods. Also, additional effects will be added to the weapon.
When the option value you get is close to the upper limit during advanced modification, a star-shaped mark is added next to the equipment icon.
After proceeding with the modification, click the 'Contrast' button in the lower right corner.
You can compare the initial equipment attribute with the currently granted attribute.
If the arrow next to each option is yellow, it means that the maximum attribute has been assigned.

You can get equipment shards from Sage Memory books or via the Helheim dungeons.

Modification options are not inherited during batch succession.
Modification for Mythic Equipment
Take note that after you reach Base Level 90 and already used mythic equipment, you can no longer use modifications, since you cannot modify mythic equipment.
Mythic equipment has its own stats modification system to change the stats. We will learn more about the Mythic equipment in a separate article.
